School of Invention taster sessions with Catholic schools
Creolabs organised 2 taster sessions on the School of Invention with 135 students attending catholic schools.
Creolabs, in collaboration with the Microsoft Innovation Centre and the the Secretariat for Catholic Education, is organising a series of taster sessions for students in secondary education. The purpose of these taster sessions is to briefly introduce the world of inventions and inspire students towards becoming inventors.
The first taster session, which was organised on the 3rd of March, was attended by 65 students form Our Lady Immaculate Secondary School of Hamrun. The 2 hour session introduced the students to creative thinking and the generation of ideas. The session also included animation and moderation provided by Move foundation. During the session students were encouraged to work in groups to generate ideas to improve their school and they gave presentations on their ideas.
The second taster session took place on 5th of April with 70 students from St. Dorothy's Secondary School of Zebbug, This session also focused on creative thinking and the generation of ideas with guest speakers sharing their work experiences with students.
Creolabs will be holding another taster session on the 9th of May with students from St. Monica School, Birkirkara.
